Finding the Balance

Day Meditation Workshop

with Nick Scott

Saturday 12th November, 9.30am - 5.00pm

The Buddha refers to his teaching as The Middle Way because it charts a path between trying too hard and not trying enough. Meditation itself is a middle way, a balance between effort and relaxation. Leading our life wisely is about finding balance: between work and relaxation, business and laziness, social activity and personal time. This day will be an exploration of how to do this wisely, which means being forgiving of when we lose that balance, so that we can simply pick ourselves up and start again, without being judgmental. It's like learning to ride a bicycle, when you get it it can be such a joy.

The retreat is free but please bring a contribution to a shared lunch (anything will do, cooked dishes can be warmed, we will provide rice).

The retreat will be held at Teach na Tuisceana, Marree, Clarinbridge. Directions will be given out once you are booked. Lifts may be possible from Galway.
