Fri 21st Aug (approx 7pm) - Sun 23rd Aug (approx. 4pm)
To be able to reside in the present we have to learn how to deal wisely with the past and future. Instead of distracting ourselves to avoid feeling the accumulated regret, hurt and karmic unease, and blaming ourselves, we need to fully realise that all of this is not me and mine. Likewise, we are not 'in charge' of the future and instead we need to learn to trust, rather than constantly trying to anticipate and control it. This is the path to a peaceful heart.
This retreat is suitable for beginners or those with experience of meditation retreats. There will be periods of sitting, walking, & standing meditations, as well as space for questions and interactions. It will be held in Noble Silence and participants will be keeping the Eight Precepts.

Carmel Harris has been practicing meditation for 15 years.
She has spent the last 10 years supporting TnaT in facilitating the retreats doing regular longer retreats herself throughout that time.
She came to meditation at a very traumatic time in her life and through developing her own practice, doing retreats and visiting monasteries she has experienced a transformation which has shown her a way to be at peace with herself.
On this retreat she will share what she has learned-partcularly how to deal with avoidance and instead develop compassion and acceptance so the past can be let go of.
