Mindfulness has become very popular in modern western psychology and has been introduced in a variety of settings, including health and education. Research has shown it's effectiveness in the management of stress, depression and chronic pain with various mindfulness-based courses and approaches now on offer.

While mindfulness may be presented as a very modern approach to life's stresses and difficulties it is rooted in the 2,600 year old religious philosophy of Buddhism. In this workshop Jackie will explore the foundations of mindfulness as taught by the Buddha in the Satipatthana Sutta.

This workshop is free. Simply bring a contribution to the shared lunch. Somone will be available to heat up an dishes that need this.
