Dhamma from

Ajahn Sucitto

Saturday 4th December

3.30 - 5.30 pm

Kilcuan Retreat Centre, Clarinbridge

Ajahn Sucitto is the retired abbot of Chithurst Buddhist Monastery in the UK and is a famous meditation teacher and writer. He has agreed to do this one event while staying locally. He will lead a short guided meditation, give a talk and then answer questions. This is a rare opportunity to spend time with an outstanding teacher.

This event is free.

Ajahn Sucitto is a Theravada Buddhist monk. He entered monastic life in 1975 in Thailand, but since 1978 has been based in Britain. He spent fourteen years training under Ajahn Sumedho, the senior Western disciple of Ajahn Chah, and so is part of the Thai Forest lineage of direct practice. His ability with language and metaphor are a delight to the listener.

We intend this event to be as COVID safe as possible. The chapel at Kilcuan is spacious and will be well ventilated. Masks will be worn and if there are too many people on the day, latecomers will view the talk by video link from the adjacent large main area of the building. We will be following government restrictions and only allowing entry to those who are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID. Please arrive early.

You can also watch the talk on ZOOM. Use this LINK. Live from 3.00pm

Kilcuan Retreat Centre is within the Kilcornan Estate owned by the Brothers of Charity. The entrance is on the left, amidst woodland, half way along the entrance drive. Bus 51, Galway to Limerick and Cork, stops in the village once an hour. For more info contact teachnat@gmail.com.
