How to do this life thing without suffering so much

Meditation Workshop

with Nick Scott

Saturday 30th May. 9.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.

The forest meditation master Ajahn Cha would insist that right practise is ultimately about finding peace within action, not turning away from the world to seek a detached blissfulness. But how to do that? In fact, how to do anything: a project, work, the family thing, socializing, without potentially getting upset or stressed out or upsetting or stressing others? This is so difficult to maintain, that it is not simply something we have to work out as part of the spiritual path as lay people - for us, it is the spiritual path.

This workshop will be an exploration of this theme, spending the morning establishing some clarity, so that we can explore Buddhist teachings that address this issue in the afternoon. This workshop is not suitable for beginners to meditation and it is not possible to come for only part of it.
